Android One is in the house to amaze you

The most awaited update from Google has today got light on it as Sundar Pichai, Google senior vice president for Android, Chrome and Apps revealed Android One. With Android One, Google aims to make it's Android grow faster and reach to more billions in next few years.

The first thing you should know about Android One is it's not a new version of Android OS but, Android One is an effort to bring the best hardware-software combo possible to the magical $100 price point. Android One programme lets Google dictate what kind of hardware, manufacturers use in their devices so that they can give a quality Android experience even with minimum hardware requirements.

Google has come us with a set of minimum hardware requirements which includes a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 845 x 480 pixels, dual-SIM support and FM radio. Eye catching stuff is stock  Android 4.4 on all devices. Current devices will be powered by quad core Mediatek processors, 1GB of RAM and 4GB storage which can be expanded up to 32GB through micro SD card slots. 

With Android One three new smartphones from Micromax, Karbonn and Spice with same specifications though they sport slightly different designs got revealed. A common factor in all three devices to note is, they are powered with MediaTek processor. Price of this devices is same Rs. 6399. Users can buy this devices from online retailer like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.

Google has indicated that Google plans to expand Android One to Indonesia, Philippines and other South Asian countries by the end of 2014 and in more countries in 2015. Check Android One smartphone on Flipkart by clicking below image.
